1. ABOUT US
DiscoverCityTours (“DCT,” “we,” or “us”) is an Amsterdam-based company with a registered address at Blauwpijpstraat 24, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. DCT is the operator of the DiscountCityTours Platform and is responsible for its operation. Our platform is accessible worldwide in multiple languages, offering users a quick and user-friendly way to access various tours and activities (“Activities”) provided by local activity providers (“Suppliers”). These Activities include but are not limited to guided tours, cooking classes, sightseeing tours by bus, boat trips, tickets for sightseeing, and other related services. DCT acts as a commercial agent for the Suppliers, and descriptions, photographs, and other content for these Activities originate from the respective Suppliers. DCT does not exercise direct influence over this content.
2. SCOPE
These General Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the use of the DCT Platform and the contractual relationship between DCT, the Suppliers, and users. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to abide by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please refrain from using our platform.
3. WHAT WE DO
DCT operates as an intermediary platform, facilitating the booking and reservation of Activities offered by Suppliers. We enable users to search, book, and pay for Activities through our platform. DCT does not own, operate, or control the Activities provided by Suppliers.
4. REGISTRATION AND DCT ACCOUNT
To access certain features of our platform, you may need to register and create a DCT account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and are liable for all activities that occur under your account.
5. DCT APPS
DCT may offer mobile applications (“Apps”) for enhanced user experience. Your use of DCT Apps is subject to these Terms, in addition to any terms and conditions specific to the Apps.
6. CONCLUSION OF CONTRACT WITH DCT – USER AGREEMENT
When you book an Activity through our platform, you enter into a contract with DCT. The terms and conditions of this contract are outlined in the User Agreement, which governs the booking process, payment, cancellations, and any other relevant terms.
7. CUSTOMER SERVICE / BEST PRICE MATCHING BY DCT
We are committed to providing excellent customer service. If you encounter any issues or have questions, please contact our customer support. Additionally, DCT may offer a Best Price Matching policy to ensure you receive the best possible price for your booked Activity. Details of this policy can be found on our platform.
8. PAYMENT AT DCT
Payment for Activities is processed through our platform. You may be required to provide payment information, and DCT will facilitate the secure payment process. Additional terms related to payment are specified in the User Agreement.
9. CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONS
Changes to bookings or cancellations may be subject to specific terms and conditions outlined in the User Agreement. Please review the terms for each booking carefully before confirming.
10. REVIEWS AND OTHER USER CONTENT
Users may have the opportunity to provide reviews and other user-generated content related to their experiences. By submitting such content, you grant DCT the right to display, modify, or delete it as necessary. Please review our Content Guidelines for more information.
11. DATA PROTECTION
DCT takes data protection seriously. Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. By using our platform, you consent to the terms of our Privacy Policy.
12. INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold DCT harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or any violation of these Terms.
13. ASSIGNMENT
DCT reserves the right to assign, transfer, or delegate these Terms, in whole or in part, to any person or entity without notice to you. You may not assign, transfer, or delegate your rights or obligations under these Terms without prior written consent from DCT.
14. SEVERABILITY CLAUSE
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
15. SUPPLIER – SERVICE AGREEMENT
15.1. Conclusion of Contract with the Supplier
When you book an Activity, you enter into a contract with the respective Supplier. The terms and conditions of this contract are outlined in the Supplier’s Service Agreement, which governs the provision of the Activity, including pricing, terms of use, and any other relevant terms.
15.2. Prices
Prices for Activities are determined by the Suppliers and may vary. DCT does not control pricing and cannot guarantee the accuracy of pricing information displayed on the platform.
15.3. Provision of the Activity
The provision of Activities is the responsibility of the Suppliers. DCT acts as an intermediary and does not operate or control the Activities directly.
15.4. Further Rights of the Supplier
The rights and responsibilities of the Supplier are outlined in their respective Service Agreement. Users are encouraged to review these terms before booking an Activity.
These General Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you and DCT. By using our platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms.
